Melissa Achten and Ida Nørby are RÁN, an ensemble using harp and cello to sew the sonic weave of their shared imaginations. With a process rooted in improvisation, their original compositions are charged with a folkloric and mythological aesthetic, ruminating on potent symbolic imagery. Based in Los Angeles and Copenhagen, they have performed in concerts and festivals internationally.
